Nevermind that DTG-flavored slam is best slam; Deprive is a ridiculously perfect death metal album.
The riffs are twisted and gross, the atmosphere is creepy and fraught with unsettling, angry energy, and even the mixing is on point. The guitars are understated in a way that's just blasphemous in context of slam, but it makes just enough room for all the synth-y, creepy vibes to seep in.
So much ingenuity and intention on display that rises above the brute-force attack of its genre. CerebralBleach
